A member platform that did not require a reckless rewrite
A professional body wanted new digital products on a fifteen-year-old member system that still ran the organisation.

- The problem
- The core system held identity, payments, and entitlements. Replacing it in one move would have frozen the business. Wrapping it as-is would have blocked every new product the board had already promised.
- What we did
- We put an API in front of what had to stay, moved member-facing journeys onto a new platform, and cut over capability by capability. Legacy stayed the system of record until each slice had earned the right to leave.
- What changed
- New products shipped without a big-bang cutover. The estate can take further change — including AI where it belongs — without putting membership at risk.
